My dear fellow members,
Good evening and a very warm welcome to this exciting and exclusive interaction with His Excellency Shri Suresh Prabhu.
Ladies and gentleman, my name is Nazrana Jassat and I am the General Secretary and represent CII as one of the chief patrons of the forum.
Your Excellency, thank you for taking the time out of what I know has been a full schedule to interact with this forum.
The CII-IBF (SA) under its new formal structure is just four months old. As an independent body, we strive to act as the voice of Indian industry in South Africa.
Our aim is to:
* Address the challenges that our members face on the ground provide a structured networking platform for our members
* To raise the profile of Indian industry in South Africa
* To support our members to excel and grow their businesses in South Africa
After an exciting weekend at the IndSA 2018 summit, showcasing our strengths, our efforts and the vast opportunities that lie ahead, our work is just beginning. And we could not be in a more opportune time and environment to do so. The summit could not have been successful without the support of this forum – for this, I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude.
In a few short months, we have managed to compile a beautiful White Paper Report on the Indian industry’s inclusive footprint in South Africa. Doing business while doing good highlights our 100+ committed investors, who have invested more than R50 billion, employed 18 000 South Africans, and proudly showcases the CSR and skills development activities of many of our members.
In addition to this, we have worked hard to prepare a media campaign, which will be the start to a series of campaigns introducing people to the CII-IBF and raising the profile.
