The Higher Certificate in Business Management: Retail Management (HCBM: Retail Management) gives you a thorough understanding of retail organisations and how to work effectively across the functional areas in a retail business.

Customer Service Management
This programme produces employable entry-level retail professionals equipped with an understanding of how retail organisations function, and provides them with the relevant skills, knowledge and self-awareness to work across various functional areas in a retail business.
NQF level 4 qualification (eg Senior Certificate) or Are at least 23 years old and two years’ work experience* and Basic computer skills
* Subject to an RPL process
The HCBM-Retail Management is an NQF level 5 (120 credits) qualification offfered over a minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years.

The HCBM is an NQF level 5 (120 credits) one-year qualification, that develops generic management competencies and prepares students for employment in junior to middle management positions. It is offered over a minimum period of one year and a maximum of two years. Applicants will need a NQF level 4 qualification (eg Senior Certificate) or be least 23 years old and have two years’ work experience with basic computer skills.

When companies are invited to make presentations on their businesses and recruiting practices, this is a great way to learn more about different industries and specific company cultures.

Having individual contacts and being in the right place at the right time often leads to job opportunities. Students are encouraged to attend off-campus networking events to meet professionals from a variety of industries. Our Alumni Committee also organises informal social functions that bring alumni and students together.

Our office will check your documentation and get back to you with an acceptance letter should all be in order. After receipt of the acceptance letter you will be required to settle your first semester fee or payment in full. You may also elect to pay per semester but please note that this will result in a 5% surcharge on the net fees.
Alternatively, prior to receipt of an acceptance letter you may be requested to complete the RMAT test. Completion of the RMAT test is also necessary for scholarship applications.

Our Academic Committee will review your documentation after which a letter of offer will be sent to you. If you are accepted you will be required to make payment based on the payment plan selected.
